I really enjoy a smoothie in the morning, and so does the kids. Usually we make fruit smoothies, but sometimes it’s nice to make it extra delicious. This smoothie is still suitable as a healthy meal. If you didn’t know already, cacao is actually very rich in zinc, which is one of the minerals you need to be aware of on a plant-based diet if you don’t eat a big variety of foods. I add the sesame seeds because they are very nutritious, especially when it comes to calcium, and since I do not serve dairy for the kids at home, it’s important to me to make sure they get it elsewhere.
3 bananas (I use 2 frozen and 1 fresh to get a nice milkshake-like consistency)
1 tbsp. unsweetened cacao powder
1 tbsp. sesame seeds (Optional)
7 oz / 2 dl almond milk (Or whichever you prefer).
How it’s done:
Blend all the ingredients together.
